The Concept art industry is still very recent and little known by the public. Today french illustrators such as Jean Giraud (Moebius) or Philippe Druillet are considered by many as this discipline's fathers. Of course during the second half of the 20th century those underground artists were yet not aware that their imagination was about to inspire a new generation of graphic creators so much, that it would lead to a new profession.
The creative team of Steambot is a perfect example of this new generation of creators inspired by their childhood's comic books. Their talent and their great notoriety in this discipline allow them to organise workshops all around the world, where digital artists gather to learn some of their technics and watch them paint.
'Explore MTL' is how we called a serie of 'masterclass workshops' that happened on Montreal's plateau.
We organized the events, branded the project and designed flyers for each workshop. We always filled the room. The digital artists community gets bigger every year and more talented as the technics and the softwares are evolving. Great memories.
